Give Pete’s Appliance Repair a call, and we’ll have your kitchen’s hot spot firing on all cylinders faster than you can say “preheat.” After all, in Fargo’s culinary landscape, a working oven isn’t just a convenience – it’s the heart of your home’s hospitality!

Oven Not Heating

Faulty heating element: Electric ovens use heating elements at the top and bottom to generate heat. A malfunctioning element, due to wear and tear or a blown fuse, can prevent the oven from reaching the desired temperature.

Faulty thermostat: The thermostat regulates the oven’s temperature by turning the heating elements on and off. A malfunctioning thermostat can cause the oven to overheat or underheat.

Gas ignition problems (gas oven): Gas ovens use an igniter to spark and ignite the gas burners. A faulty igniter can prevent the gas from igniting, leaving the oven cold.

Oven Not Turning On

Power supply issues: Make sure the oven is plugged in and the outlet is working. In electric ovens, a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker can cut power to the appliance.

Faulty control board: The control board is the brain of the oven, managing various functions. A malfunctioning control board can prevent the oven from turning on or responding to commands.

Faulty door switch: A faulty door switch can prevent the oven from turning on for safety reasons, even if other components are working correctly.

Uneven Cooking

Malfunctioning heating element: An unevenly heating element can cause hot spots and lead to uneven cooking.

Improper oven rack placement: Placing food too close to the heat source or using the wrong rack position can contribute to uneven cooking.

Air circulation issues: Improper airflow within the oven can cause certain areas to cook faster or slower than others.

Oven Door Not Sealing Properly

Worn-out door gasket: The gasket creates a seal around the oven door to trap heat inside. Over time, the gasket can wear out, crack, or become loose, allowing heat to escape and causing uneven cooking.

Misaligned oven door: An oven door that is misaligned or warped may not close properly, leading to heat leakage.

Customer Google Review

Our gas oven wasn't lighting. We had called around and most places, if they did gas, wouldn't be able to be out for at least a week. Pete was able to be here in just a couple days. He gave a two hour time frame, and was here at the beginning. He had it fixed in about an hour. I didn't realize just how much I use my oven until it wasn't working! I am so glad he was available. I would definitely recommend hi to anyone who needs a repair!
